Ray studied Exercise Physiology at The University of Vermont,  then decided to serve our country in the U.S. Air Force in 1979 eventually receiving an Honorable Discharge and a Good Conduct Medal. He then graduated from the prestigious Professional Training Institute in Las Vegas, NV. 

Ray maintains multiple national certifications from ACSM, ACE, NASM & NSCA.
